JOHN CAVELLI

जॉन एफ कैल्वेली वन्यजीव संरक्षण सोसायटी (डब्ल्यूसीएस) के सार्वजनिक मामलों के कार्यकारी उपाध्यक्ष हैं, जो एक वैश्विक संरक्षण संगठन है जिसका मुख्यालय ब्रोंक्स चिड़ियाघर में है जो वन्यजीवों और जंगली स्थानों को बचाने के लिए समर्पित है। जॉन कार्यकारी प्रबंधन टीम में कार्य करता है जो समग्र संगठन का प्रबंधन करता है और एक संरक्षण आंदोलन बनाने के उनके प्रयास का नेतृत्व कर रहा है जो जनता को अपने मिशन के समर्थन में प्रेरित और संलग्न करेगा।

डब्ल्यूसीएस में शामिल होने से पहले, जॉन ने वाशिंगटन के चीफ ऑफ स्टाफ और कांग्रेसी एलियट एंगेल के वकील के रूप में कार्य किया, उनके पास कांग्रेस के, प्रशासनिक कार्यालय कार्यों की देखरेख और सभी विधायी पहलों की देखरेख, निर्देशन और पर्यवेक्षण की जिम्मेदारी थी। इटली गणराज्य ने मजबूत अमेरिकी-इटली संबंधों को बढ़ावा देने वाले उनके काम के लिए ऑर्डर ऑफ मेरिट में नाइटहुड की सम्मानजनक उपाधि से सम्मानित किया।

John graduated from Fordham University and earned a law degree from Fordham Law School. He was a founder and is currently the Chair of the International Conservation Partnership and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Government Affairs Committee. He also serves on the board of the Public Affairs Council, New York City and Company, the National Italian American Foundation, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, the Steering Committee of the Association for a Better New York and is the immediate Past Chair of the New York City Cultural Institutions Group. His most gratifying experience though was serving on the board of The Picture House during the “early” years, helping to purchase the property and restore the iconic movie theater. He served many roles at TPH, including Chair of the Board, and now is happily on call to be of assistance to this amazing institution.



John is married to Maria DiMeo Calvelli and their son John Domenico, a recent graduate of Brown University.
